Today is an extremely sad day. We all found out that the great horror icon himself (Wes Craven) has passed at the age of 76. The man created some of the best horror movies to date, along with 2 highly successful horror franchises that will continue to live on and show his legacy. Not only did Wes Craven help define the horror genre, but he also helped revive it when many horror movies were terrible in the late 90’s (Exception of Scream). Since you’re all following me, I’m pretty sure you’re all aware that Scream is my all time favorite horror movie franchise ever and hearing this news is terrible, but all that’s left to be said is thank you for the scares and for the memories. You will forever be the greatest horror director and will truly be missed!! Time for a marathon!
Plot: After a video of Audrey and Rachel kissing goes viral, high school student Nina and her boyfriend Tyler are brutally murdered which soon rattles Lakewood to a murderer who struck 20 years ago.
Review: It’s been a while since I’ve been on here, but most of you guys know the Scream series just started. All of you must’ve known I would have to come back to review this, I mean how couldn’t I , Scream is my all time favorite horror franchise after all. Let’s get more in depth with this review.
The story is mediocre at best, actually maybe a little better than that. Before I get into what I liked about Scream, there were a few things that I necessarily didn’t quite understand. For starters, the opening scene was kind of confusing and the way that the director had put those things together made it seem like that is the reason for these killings. I’m pretty sure we will get a better understanding of all that in the future, but they could’ve went deeper on that. The one thing I really like about the Scream story is how we’re learning everyones back story including the moms. That alone made me think about who the killer can be the whole episode and I’m glad I got that feel, because it felt like a Scream movie. Still don’t know how I feel about the mask, know they were looking for an original look, but it looks like shit compared to the original. How was the acting, you may ask? Well, it was absolute shit. I can’t even lie to you and say it was decent or one person shined. Like no, lol, they were all terrible. Honestly, don’t get your hopes up, because the acting will make you want to vomit. They were trying to be funny, but said some corny jokes that just made you dislike some of the characters even more. Only bright spot was Bella Thorne and we all know how that went. Although, this might have been good for her, look at where Scream has led Barrymore. Coincidence? I think not!
Did the Scream succeed as a horror show? In this area of Scream I believe the director absolutely delivered. I can’t lie the show did bring the terror, it kept my heart racing the whole time. Scream had a great kill scene, good blood, good build up(especially in the throwback scene), and did a good job in general with keeping the viewer on the edge. Just wish there can be more kills, but that’s not going to happen in Scream the show. This one was awesome though. Final Verdict: Scream had a decent pilot that I do feel is worth a watch. It will be interesting to see how this show progresses. It was nice seeing the character connection to Randy. The show also provided great scares and kills. Although, when it comes down to it, Scream lacked a strong story and had some terrible actors. The show kind of felt like three different things in one. That being Scream mixed with I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Pretty Little Liars. Would’ve been nice if they made it just feel like Scream, but I know it’s hard, which is why I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. Like Noah said.. “You can’t turn a slasher movie into a TV show.” I agree, but I wish this show the best.
This is just a little unboxing video that I did for the Friday the 13th complete collection box set. Friday the 13th is probably one of the best horror franchises to ever be created and I can watch all the films over and over again. Extremely excited to have this beautiful box set to add to my collection.
Plot: Still haunted by his gruesome past, Tommy Jarvis – the boy who killed Jason Voorhees – wonders if somehow he is connected to brutal slayings occurring in and around the secluded halfway house where he now lives.
Review: Friday the 13th: A New Beginning is a slasher film that’s a part of the hit Friday the 13th franchise. In my opinion, this is when the franchise started to decline, but I do have to say that this film was enjoyable. Friday the 13th: A New Beginning may not be the best film, but it’s nowhere near the worst. Give it a try! Just to let all of you know, the entire Friday the 13th franchise is now on Netflix!
The story to Friday the 13th: A New Beginning was pretty enjoyable. It mainly focuses on Tommy Jarvis (who is now grown up), who gets sent to a crazy persons house and continues to have nightmares of what happened when he was younger. When killings start to happen he automatically thinks Jason is the culprit and boy was he right. Now although the film did focus on Tommy I do believe that the directors tried to make this movie like the previous film where the young boy is the main character (Reggie), which I found enjoyable. I really did love seeing Tommy’s fear throughout the movie and I’m glad they put that in this story, good job by the directors! I also guarantee that you will never guess the ending as well, it was completely unexpected and shocked me the first time I watched it!How was the acting? The acting in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning wasn’t that great to be completely honest. John Shepherd, Melanie Kinnaman, and Shavar Ross gave decent performances, but nothing great. The supporting cast was just terrible, so don’t expect anything big from the actors in this movie.
Friday the 13th: A New Beginning provides the viewer with some scares. Just like all the other films, this movie won’t make you terrified, it just provides you with a few scenes that can possibly make you jump. The blood was a little low in this movie, but there were plenty of gruesome scenes to make up for that. Although most of the kills weren’t actually shown, the viewer still knew what was happening and it gave us enough thrills to enjoy Friday the 13th: A New Beginning. In my opinion, they could’ve done a little better in this category. Overall Friday the 13th: A New Beginning is a decent film that you can enjoy. The story was entertaining and did keep the me into the movie. As for the acting, I hated nearly everyones performance and they kind of bored me. Friday the 13th: A New Beginning is not a terrifying movie, so don’t expect anymore then a few scenes that can make you jump. There were some thrills that made this movie enjoyable, but I still felt like they could’ve done better in that category. If you haven’t seen Friday the 13th: A New Beginning give it a try, it’s not the best movie you will ever see, but you may be able to enjoy it. Make sure you check out all the Friday the 13th movies on Netflix!
Review: This is probably one of the best Friday the 13th movie in the franchise. The franchise definitely hit its peak during this film, because all the movies after this one weren’t that great. This movie was highly enjoyable and will absolutely keep you entertained!
The story to this Friday the 13th movie was great. It mainly focuses on Jason stalking a group of teenage vacationers and a family that live by Crystal Lake. I liked the idea of having Jason stalk two different sets of people, it seemed like we had two different stories to watch in this film and it was interesting. It was great seeing the young Tommy outwit and defeat Jason and he was an interesting part to this story. The story provides us with some great thrills. How was the acting? The acting was great, Corey Feldman is an amazing actor and delivers in every movie he plays in. Crispin Glover and Kimberly Beck also had great performances, it was a all around great acting performance from the cast.
Just like any other Friday the 13th movie there are great scares. The movies never dissapointed when it came to scares, but this movie also delivered when it came to the kills. There were plenty of kills and the kill scenes were crazy. Unlike some of the other films, this movie had gore scenes, that could really creep you out. Jason Vorhees is seriously bad ass!Overall I loved this movie and thought it was a great addition to the franchise. The story and acting were great, Corey Feldman is a fantastic actor and really delivers in this movie. Just like any other Friday the 13th movie there are great scares. The movies never dissapointed when it came to scares, but this movie also delivered when it came to the kills. There were plenty of crazy/gory kill scenes. I guarantee that you will be creeped out! If you haven’t seen this movie yet I highly recommend it. You won’t regret it, this is a must watch!
Review: I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was for Freddy vs. Jason when I first heard it was coming out. Two of the best horror franchises joining together to give us a great and memorable horror movie. The viewer should automatically expect Freddy vs. Jason too be good, these two characters are horror icons, if that doesn’t draw you in to the movie I don’t know what will. Will the teens be able to survive? Now nobody is safe awake or in their dreams!
The story of Freddy vs. Jason was great and was highly entertaining. It was brilliant and I loved how they incorporated both of their stories into one. The story mainly focused on Freddy awakening Jason from his sleep and ordering him to kill the teens on Elm St, thinking that this will help him regain his power. Unfortunately for Freddy, Jason just can’t stop killing people, which starts the battle between these two horror icons. The story provides us with some great thrills that will make you love this movie. How was the acting? The acting performance was great, was filled with some very talented actors. Robert Englund was amazing, like always as the character Freddy. Monica Keena, Jason Ritter, Lochlyn Munro, Brendan Fletcher, and Kelly Rowland all had great performances as well. This was an all around great performance from the cast.
Freddy vs. Jason really provided us with some great horror. This movie was scary and can really make you jump a few times. There were plenty of kills with some great kill scenes, the film can be a little gruesome. This movie doesn’t really have insane amounts of blood, but we honestly don’t need blood to get creeped out or to make this a good horror movie, the film is great the way it is. The characters of Freddy and Jason have also never looked any more scarier then they were in this film. Look at Freddy getting all knife happy:Overall I absolutely loved Freddy vs. Jason and thought that it was highly entertaining. The story was great and I loved how they were able to incorporate both of their stories into one. The story provides us with some great thrills that will make you love this movie. The acting performance was great, was filled with some very talented actors. Robert Englund was amazing, like always as the character Freddy. The rest of the cast all did well, this was a great performance from the cast. Freddy vs. Jason provided us with some great horror. If you haven’t seen this movie yet I highly recommend that you go watch it. You won’t regret it, this is a must watch!
Review : The sequel to the remake of Halloween wound up being garbage. I wasn’t really fond of this film, it had it’s moments, but I was just completely lost the rest of the film. Some things that they put into this film just didn’t fit, this was a sequel that we would’ve been fine without. Don’t get your hopes up for this one, it will disappoint you. The story was pretty bad, it honestly confused me a little bit. I understand that Rob Zombie was trying to make this movie as original as possible, but it didn’t work. Some of the stuff was unnecessary and just really didn’t make sense. The ending was also a little weird for me too, was not expecting it too end like that, it was a very strange approach and it wasn’t as successful as they probably thought. If your’e an original Halloween fan you will absolutely hate the end.
How was the acting? Well, it was basically the same as the first film, some performances were great and others were not. Danielle Harris and Malcom McDowell gave great performances, but the rest of the cast gave an all around decent performance.
Just like the remake, this film is scary and can honestly creep you out. This is a really dark movie filled with lots of blood and gore. There were a lot of kills and the kill scenes were absolutely intense. Some of the scenes sent chills down my spine. Overall I disliked the film, thought it would’ve been a lot better. The story was terrible, it didn’t make sense and honestly confused me at points. It was just a weird story and I really didn’t enjoy it. The acting was decent all around, although I did enjoy the performances from Malcolm McDowell and Danielle Harris. The movie is honestly scary and can creep you out. There are a lot of kills with some intense kill scenes and lots of gore and blood. If you haven’t seen this movie I wouldn’t recommend it. This is a movie that you can skip, unless you’re a die hard Halloween fan. I will tell you this, I can watch the movie more than once, but not often, the kills and darkness of the film just make it watchable for me. I also just love the franchise.
