Review : I know I’m extremely late on The Strain reviews, I’ve just been a little busy with school and when I was able to blog , I wanted to review films. Both of these episodes were great and start to show us something that might affect the future of this show and it was really interesting too see.The story for both of these episodes were great and they are kind of both really similar to one another, which will make it easier to combine both of these reviews. A lot of stuff went down in this episode, for starters let’s get to Kelly. Eph starts to look for her and Zach eventually finds her cellphone by tracking and Eph goes to check it out, but all he finds is a phone. The homeless person shows him where she found it and then the story goes to a flashback of Kelly to show us what happened to her and well, she’s a vampire.. sigh. The master decides to meet with her right away, so we can already suspect that Kelly will be used in some way to bring our vampire hunters to an end. Meanwhile Dutch reveals to Setrakian that she was involved in bringing the internet down and comes up with a plan to retaliate against Palmer, by going into his building for WiFi and trying to get the connection back. Their plan fails, but surprisingly Palmer’s most trusted servant denies his orders to kill these people and lets them go, hoping that they will somehow be able to stop this madness. You’re the MVP Mr. Fitzwilliams!
The episode delivered when it came to the scares, but yet again it always does. This show is just completely creepy and offers us great kills and so much blood and gore. I absolutely guarantee you that this episode will scare you. I loved seeing a little more of the vampires and since Kelly is one we got to see the master call her to meet, it was interesting. We also see how they see other vampires and how they see humans, it was great. Overall I loved both of these episodes and thought that they were both entertaining. The story was great and can keep you highly entertained. Eph spends most of his time in these episode looking for Kelly, poor Nora, they just had a magical night and the next day Eph is running around like a madman looking for his ex, but we can understand why Eph is doing this, common people that’s the mother of his child. Kelly winds up turning into a vampire and meets with the master, it will be interesting to see how she is used in the future. Dutch also leaves the group because everyone besides Fet and Setrakian are being completely rude to her, hopefully she remains fine. The episode delivered when it came to the scares, but yet again it always does. The kills were crazy, and it was interesting to learn more about the vampires and how they see us compared to others of their kind. If you haven’t seen this episode I highly recommend you go watch it. You wont regret it! Also next weeks episode looks fantastic, I can’t wait!
