Plot : Laurie Strode, now the dean of a Northern California private school with an assumed name, must battle the Shape one last time and now the life of her own son hangs in the balance.
Review : Myers is back and he’s going after his sister again! Well, after the not so great 6th film, the franchise came back and delivered a pretty good Halloween movie for it’s viewers. I have seen a few bad reviews for this movie, but I don’t get what was so bad about the film. It was really enjoyable and I don’t think it deserves a 5.6 on IMDb.
The story was great, Laurie Strode has escaped Myers by faking her own death, she has been able to start a life and raise a son on her own. That is until Myers finds her again and tries to kill her boy, along with whoever else is on campus. It just shows how having a messed up life can really affect how you react to things, I guess it is good that she was paranoid because when Michael came for her she was ready. This is one enjoyable story.
How was the acting? The acting was off the charts, Jamie Lee Curtis is fabulous and delivers in every movie she plays. Josh Hartnett and LL Cool J also had great performances and I really enjoyed watching them. The rest of the cast did well also, this was an all around great acting performance from the cast, everyone was likable. It was also great to be able to kind of connect with some of the characters as well, actors did a great job with that.
Just like any other Halloween film there are great scares. the movies never dissapointed when it came to scares, but this movie also delivered when it came to the kills. There were plenty of kills and the kill scenes were crazy. Unlike some of the other films, this movie had gore scenes, that could really creep you out. Myers is seriously one bad ass, but he just can’t beat his sister!
Overall I loved this movie and thought it was a great addition to the franchise. The story was great, it kind of had the feeling of the first two Halloween films, which is fantastic. The acting was amazing, Jamie Lee Curtis, Josh Hartnett, and LL Cool J all had amazing performances, and the supporting cast did a good job as well. The movie can scare you and has some great kill scenes. Unlike some of the other films, this movie had gore scenes, that could really creep you out. If you haven’t seen this movie yet I highly recommend it. You won’t regret it, this is a must watch!
