Review : The sequel to the original Hills Have Eyes wound up being not so great. I can’t even lie when I heard that there was going to be a sequel I got excited but after actually seeing the film I kind of regret watching it.The story really wasn’t great, actually it wasn’t even remotely good. It was probably border line decent if anything. There is a 80% chance that you get bored with this movie because the story isn’t that entertaining.Sometimes a movie may have a bad story but it becomes slightly better because the acting might have been good, well this isn’t the case in this movie. The acting was terrible in my opinion, I didn’t really enjoy any of the casts performances. I couldn’t connect with any of the characters and honestly just watching them bored me. It was an all around bad acting performance from the cast, didn’t enjoy it one bit.
Surprisingly the movie did have one good thing, which happened to be the amounts of blood and gore that it provided us with. This is one area that I was actually able to enjoy, the whole movie was filled with blood and gore, it was gruesome and i loved that. There were many good kills and kill scenes in this film and most of them will leave you feeling really creeped out, this movie does a great job at that, have to admit it. I guarantee you that you will be saying “wtf” throughout the whole movie, there is some real creepy things in this film. Look at this weirdo!Overall I didn’t really like this movie. The story line and acting weren’t good, it kept me bored almost the whole time. The gore and kills in this movie were actually good though, I can’t lie, this was really the only good thing about this movie. The blood and creepy scenes were off the charts, which is what made this movie watchable. If you haven’t seen this movie I wouldn’t recommend that you watch it, the film just didn’t really live up to it’s potential if you ask me. It could have been so much better than it was. This was a bad movie that provided nice gory scenes, but it really isn’t that enjoyable in my opinion. It was kind of one of the movies that make you wish they never created a sequel. If you do watch it I hope you somewhat enjoy it and let me know what you think!
I give this movie a 6/10
