Plot : It’s been 10 years since Myers original Halloween massacre, and we find out that he has been in a coma ever since that night. While he is being transferred from Richmond Mental Institute to Smith’s Grove he awakens when he hears that he has a niece in Haddonfield and after killing the transfer crew he escapes. The niece Jamie keeps having nightmares about her Uncle Michael but doesn’t know who he is. On Halloween night, Jamie and her step sister Rachel go out to have a good time without knowing the evil that is following them. Who will survive on this dark Halloween night?
Review : Michael Myers is back and he has a new target! This film was a very solid addition to the Halloween franchise. After the directors originally planned to kill off Myers from the Halloween franchise and just stick to making movies based on the theme of Halloween, they decided to bring back the notorious killer because Halloween 3 didn’t do that well in the theaters. This film basically gives us a new story and a new look at Michael Myers. Lets start off with the acting, I thought that it was an all around great performance from the actors, everyone contributed to the film very nicely with their roles. It was nice seeing a new story with Myers, it kind of changed things up a little and gave us a new look at this monster. Like how sick do you have to be to want to kill a kid, especially the fact that the girl is his niece. The kills were higher in this film and they had some great kill scenes, Myers never lets us down when it comes to the kills. It also just makes the movie so much scarier the way that they have Myers follow his victims before he makes the kill, kind of like a true predator. Overall I loved this movie and was happy to have Myers back on screen. You have to really give credit and appreciate the acting in this film, they all did a great job , especially the young girl that played Jamie, she did fantastic with the lead role. I also liked how they showed the relationship that Jamie has with Rachel, and how Rachel would protect her even though they are not actually related. It was heartwarming. The movie brings some great kills and can scare the shit out of you. It will leave you on the edge of your seat the whole time. If you haven’t seen this movie yet I absolutely recommend that you go watch it, it is a great addition to the Halloween franchise. You wont regret it!
I give this movie a 8.5/10
